Fellow FPPA Members,
Well,
here we are, getting closer and closer to our conference
dates at
the Marriott Waterside, Tampa in July.
Registrations
for both the conference and hotel accommodations are
beginning to roll in and your Executive Board and
Host Committee are
most appreciative. To give you an update, the hotel
is fast running out
of space given there are some major conferences in
town at the same time
as our event. We are already checking with other nearby
hotels for
accommodations once the Marriott Waterside advises
they do not have any
more available rooms. We will send out a membership-wide
alert with
other contact information at the appropriate time.
In the interim, if
you happen to be told while trying to register that
the hotel is full,
please let me know by e-mail.
The
pre-conference and conference programs as well as
the conference
registration forms are to the right of this notice;
you may need to use
your scroll bar to see them. We will also be doing
the usual "Call to
Conference" mailing soon. Please remember, however,
the conference is
still a little ways off so there may be some adjustments
to the programs
as we approach July.
If
you have not registered for the conference and/or
hotel yet, please
do so as soon as you can. You can make your hotel
reservations at any
time by calling 1-888-268-1616. Please make sure you
identify yourself
as an attendee of the FPPA Annual Conference. You
will also need to
have your credit card information at hand as you will
be required to
make a one night room deposit. For planning purposes,
the room rate is
$135.00 per night. In addition, there will be a $16.00
per day valet
parking fee for overnight parking (just received this
notice of

As
you should know by now, the conference theme is "HR
Fever" so
come prepared and wear your "Dance Fever"
"Saturday Night Live"
or other 1970s attire.
Just
a reminder, please make sure your agency or individual
membership
dues are paid as we will, out of necessity, be checking
conference
registrations against Association membership.
